Within the guidelines of the Radiologic Technology Program and Blinn College, the faculty shall have an understanding and is willing to promote and support the mission and goals of Blinn College and the Radiologic Technology Program. Faculty are hired in a part-time capacity on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the program. The faculty shall perform administrative duties, classroom-laboratory instruction and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties :
Primary responsibility is to teach designated didactic course/s within the program curriculum, Submits required college reports and forms, prepares and maintains course outlines and objectives in a timely manner, Participates in the assessment process, evaluates students by a variety of means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and informs them in a timely manner of their progress, Establishes and maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, administrators, and with members of the community Cooperates with the program director in periodic review and revision of course materials, Maintains current knowledge of the profession by participating in continuing education for enhancement of instructional and practical skills, Understands, adheres, and maintains current knowledge of the College and the program’s policies and procedures, and Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Holds Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology/Sciences and/or ARRT, R.T.® professional credentials and Is knowledgeable of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
Bachelor’s degree or higher, At least two years of clinical experience in the professional discipline.
