Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Summary Description: The Taub Institute seeks a Staff Associate.Duties: The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruiting eligible individuals by phone for clinical trials; explaining the study to potential participants by telephone and in-person; scheduling appointments for in-person screening and conducting in-person interviews and administering psychometric tests to study participants at the Columbia University Medical Center. (Participation in medical surveillance will be required. HIPAA compliance training and GCP training will be required.)Requires heavy contact with study participants and their families.Requires heavy paperwork responsibilities. Must create and maintain detailed drug study records in a timely manner. Must prepare study-related correspondence, maintain study database.Must be able to review medical records. Will have to perform other related duties as needed for the functioning of the research studies.May have opportunity to travel to drug study meetings.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of related experience in clinical trials preferably of cognitive disorders.Prior experience and certifications for ADAS-cog, CDR, CIBIC-plus and CGIC highly desirable. Must be able to multitask and possess excellent organizational skills.Excellent computer skills with Word, PowerPoint, Excel are required. Experience with patient contact is required.Prior experience with clinical trial research is required. Prior experience with neuropsychological testing is required.Public-speaking skills preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Spanish proficiency would be a plus.Public-speaking skills preferred.
