The EHR Clinical Report Analyst creates reports in the ECUP (Epic) EHR using reporting tools such as Clarity, ECUBIC and Windows reporting tools. Epic EHR knowledge is preferred. The primary responsibilities for this position involves the development of complex clinical reports. The Brody School of Medicine's Faculty Practice Plan (ECU Physicians) uses as its primary clinical information system the Epic Ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR). Epic Ambulatory is currently deployed within all ECU Physicians' clinics and is used to capture clinical documentation for over 350,000 patient visits per year. Reporting tools are used to retrieve structured data within the database. Detailed reports are developed to advance care delivery and quality patient outcomes, and to support decision-making for doctors, nurses, and clinical support staff. This individual must possess a strong working knowledge of SQL and popular data reporting tools, and be able to work closely with the clinical departments in a collaborative environment.
