75% Work independently to solve complex research-related work assignments. Responsible for the conjugation of small molecules to carriers using carbodiimide or maleimide chemistry, MALDI-TOF, DLS or other research methods to measure conjugate size, MALD-TOF or DLS, purification, scale-up, release assays for conjugate vaccines and animal studies. Ensure that components of projects are completed in an ethically and scientifically rigorous and timely manner. Provide technical expertise to research lab staff regarding problem solving, experimental procedures, statistical analysis, and research project design.
20% Responsible for overall research safety and compliance in the lab. Writing standard operating procedures for tech transfer to CMO/CRO.
5% Writing reports and papers. Review literature as suggested by the research. Select relevant facts and techniques and procedures from the literature.
Required Qualifications (must be mentioned on application/resume): Bachelor's degree in the Biological Sciences and 2 years of professional laboratory experience, or a combination of education and experience to total 6 years.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in the Biological Sciences
