Full time, 9-month, tenure-track position. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a wide array of undergraduate and graduate courses in food animal sciences and for participation in other scholarly activities (i.e. research, grant writing, publications, presentations, etc.) as a part of professional development. Public service, student mentoring and advising are also required for the position. Additional duties may include supervising undergraduate research and student organization advising.
Minimum Education Requirements:
PhD in Animal Science or closely related field. ABD will be considered with an appropriate plan of completion by August 2019.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Effective teaching, organization, and communication skills are necessary. The successful applicant should have a working knowledge of production systems for the major food animal species. Essential skills include the ability to be an effective team player and to interact well with peers, students, constituent groups, and the general public.
