Reporting to the Director of Learning and Organizational Development this position will play a major role in needs assessment, design, planning, coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of employee and organizational development programs at East Carolina University. The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties including but not limited to the facilitation of training and certification programs, assisting in consultation for and delivery of department-specific training, providing customer support for the Cornerstone Learning Management System, planning and facilitating new employee orientation, along with other related duties. The candidate will be able to effectively communicate training objectives and agendas with other units across campus, effectively collaborate with those units as well as various state agencies. The position will also play a major role in the management of our learning management system with regards to planning for and scheduling training sessions. Along with these duties the position will be responsible for planning and coordinating Employee Recognition programs including State Service Awards and the University's Treasured Pirate Award.

Organizational Unit Overview:
The Department of Human Resources is responsible for providing a comprehensive program of services to approximately 6,000 employees in the campus community, including both the main and health sciences campuses. The Department is composed of functional units: Administration, Benefits, Classification and Compensation, Employee Relations, Employment, Learning and Organizational Development, and HR Information Systems. This position will be a part of the Learning and Organizational Development Unit, which is responsible for managing HR Learning and Organizational Development programs for both the university as a whole and departments/teams as needed. These programs include HR Certification Programs, supervisor/leadership training, New Employee Onboarding, employee recognition programs, developing and uploading online learning modules, and departmental development consultations. This unit also, in conjunction with HRIS and ITCS, manages the university's learning management system.
