Towson University is accepting applications for a Salesforce Administrator in the Office of Technology Services (OTS). Under direction from the Information Systems Director and CRM Manager, this position performs system administration, configuration, development, and support of Salesforce environments.
The Salesforce Administrator will perform system administration, configuration, and support for Salesforce; works with multiple departments within the University. Reviews submitted documentation and conducts customer requirements sessions for complex business solutions. Interprets provided requirements and translates them into a formal needs analysis documents. Successfully monitors project status and adherence to schedules, requirements, and deadlines. Executes the current deployment and identifies key points of improvement and gaps in processes that can directly benefit from SalesForce.com automation. Maintains data integrity in all Salesforce organizations.
This position develops moderately complex business solutions based on the associated design documentation, utilizing the Standardized Application Development Guidelines. Conducts configuration management and version control activities. Conducts the unit testing and integration testing for functionality. Develops and communicates appropriate test plans relative to the development activities. Prepares appropriate technical documentation of delivered solutions. Interprets and analyzes reported issues, conducts customer follow up interviews relating to reported issues. Prepares and implements moderately complex issue resolution strategies. Documents reported issues, strategies, and resolutions; reviews and re-engineers organizational changes to the vendor supplied upgrades. Maintains awareness of primary vendor’s product line and its impact on supported business processes; analyzes business need and develops proposed solution options. Promotes the activities and efforts of Information Systems; educates the campus community in technology issues, problems, and strategies; conducts information gathering dialogues with customers.
Bachelor's Degree and two years of related experience. Direct experience and knowledge using cloud applications or CRM, email communication, environment design, and support. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Salesforce experience and exposure to Higher Education environment preferred.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
