Serves as department contact for all personnel actions including payroll. Liaison between the department representatives who make personnel action requests and the unit personnel coordinator in Academic Affairs. Initiates EPAFs and personnel actions (EHRA, SHRA, Temps, and students) to the Executive Assistant or the Post Award Grants Administrator of the College for final approval. Collects, coordinates, documents, and tracks all personnel paperwork received from the departmental representatives. Assists the department representatives with the appropriate documents and personnel actions that are to be submitted. Submits personnel actions in PeopleAdmin to the Executive Assistant for final approval.
Coordinates with the departmental representatives and Academic Affairs for all promotion and tenure actions, tenure-track reappointments, temporary appointments, and permanent fixed-term appointments.
Maintains a spreadsheet to track positions before any personnel actions are completed and before any EPAFs are submitted; making sure the necessary funding source and funds are available. Submits position change forms to the Executive Assistant for final approval. Processes all personnel paperwork in a timely manner to meet payroll deadlines.
Backup coverage for other College office staff in their absence to include answering the phone and greeting and assisting visitors.
