Hofstra University's School of Health Professions and Human Services, Department of Health Professions, is seeking applications for an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2019 in the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fieldwork component of the MS in Occupational Therapy program, including selecting, developing and maintaining fieldwork sites, scheduling and supervision of fieldwork experiences, overseeing administrative requirements (i.e. fieldwork contracts and student health records), managing community relationships, maintaining compliance with ACOTE standards for fieldwork education , OT program data collection, and analysis related to academic fieldwork as needed for the OT program assessment and ACOTE accreditation, coordination of fieldwork curriculum, supervision of student evaluation processes, and ongoing publication of the OT Student Academic Fieldwork Policy Manual. The AFWC will provide support for student academic advisement and mentoring. Additional responsibilities include teaching courses in the area of expertise, as required by the program and in subordination of the primary responsibilities for the management and supervision of the fieldwork portion of the program, and serving on program, departmental, and university committees and service. Faculty report directly to the Occupational Therapy Program Director.
