To assess, develop, implement, administer, supervise, and evaluate comprehensive sport club and recreational camp programs for the university community.
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sport Management, or a related field; minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in Recreation Services or a related field (one (1) year of experience and graduate assistant experience can be substituted for the two (2) year experience requirement); demonstrated experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures; and demonstrated experience in managing and organizing sport clubs and camps; must be able to work evenings and weekends; knowledge of: standard practices in recreational sports for Club Sports and Summer Camp programs; skills and abilities: demonstrated success in the development and implementation of recreational programs; demonstrated experience administering risk management practices for recreation programs; demonstrated experience working in a camp environment; leadership and supervisory skills; ability to work as part of a professional team that collaborates effectively with colleagues; analyze facility operations and make necessary policy changes when needed; write concise, logical reports, set priorities, and complete assignments on time.
Master's degree in recreation, sport management or a related field; knowledge of basic student development or education theory specific to leadership; demonstrated experience in relevant computer applications (i.e. Fusion, When to Work; IM Leagues) and revenue generating experience; active member of NIRSA.
