The Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties within the College of Osteopathic Medicine is requesting candidates for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position within OB/GYN.
Job duties would include coordination of the Female Reproductive System course. Review and update course curriculum content and evaluation process. Provide leadership for clinical course skills development within gynecologic patient examinations for medical students. Work in a cooperative manner with department chairs, course directors, associate deans, and those with leadership positions in OB/GYN within participating hospitals of MSU/COM’s Statewide Campus System to develop high quality course content. Revise and oversee OB/GYN third-year core clinical rotations and assist base hospitals to support the consistent delivery of a high quality OB/GYN curriculum.
Develop an active clinical practice within Female Pelvic medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in collaboration with other surgical specialties within the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties. Collaborate with other research trained PhD and/or physician faculty within the department who have a mutual interest in quality improvement within the areas of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive surgery.
D.O. or M.D. and Board certified/eligible Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
Fellowship training or equivalent in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Leadership experience is desired.
