WESTMINSTERCOLLEGE OF THEARTS OF RIDERUNIVERSITY, through its School of Fine and Performing Arts (SFPA), announces an opening for a part-time Art Gallery Director. Anticipated start date for gallery duties is April 1, 2019 (negotiable start date). Teaching opportunities would begin as early as Summer 2019.
Responsibilities will include: curating the gallery season, promoting greater visibility of visual art on the Rider campus at large, and maintaining and enhancing the permanent collection. The Art Gallery Director will also have the opportunity to teach up to two courses each semester, pending appropriate expertise for teaching courses offered, for additional compensation.

Candidates for the Art Gallery Director position should have a BFA in Art, MFA desired. Experience with gallery management is strongly desired. Also of value is experience with community outreach, grantwriting, and building relationships with area and regional visual artists.
