The position requires an earned doctorate in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, a research program in Mathematics Education or Statistics Education, and, if the doctorate is not in Mathematics or Statistics, a master’s degree or higher in Mathematics or Statistics. The successful candidate at the senior level will have an internationally influential and externally supported research program in Mathematics Education or Statistics Education, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and a sustained history of mentoring (graduate students, post-docs, junior faculty). At the junior level evidence of excellence in teaching and an established research program in Mathematics Education or Statistics Education are required. At the junior level, mentorship of graduate students or postdocs is desired. The successful candidate at either level will be expected to maintain an active research program, to assume leadership roles and to engage in campus-wide initiatives to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics and/or statistics at the undergraduate level.
