Posting Summary: The Biocomplexity Institute seeks an IT Manager to provide technical support, management, and supervision to their team and the Institute. This exciting new initiative provides a huge opportunity to grow the breadth and depth of biocomplexity research for Virginia and the nation.
A Master's degree in information technology, or a comparable field, is required, as is at least 10 years of management experience. Detailed knowledge of Mac OS systems, intermediate knowledge of communications methods, and intermediate knowledge of Network infrastructures, are all required. The successful applicant has a proven ability to build and lead dynamic highly efficient and effective teams, and ability to establish and build partnerships with customer, internal suppliers and external vendors, as well as the ability to gather data on systems issues, define alternative approaches, assess business impact, recommend cost effective solutions, and develop and implement those solutions
