The Environmental Studies Program at Adelphi University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning in August 2019. We seek an earth scientist with an active research agenda and teaching expertise in marine or terrestrial systems.
Teach courses and supervise student research assistants at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses could include Observing Nature in the Field, a graduate introductory seminar, Historical Geology, Environmental Geology, Environmental Chemistry, Climate Change, Introduction to the Oceans, Marine Resources, Natural Science and Environmental Problems, or Sediments. Experience with Geographic Information Systems preferred. Collaborate with other Environmental Studies faculty currently working on past and present anthropogenic causes of climate changes. QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. in a related field is required at the time of appointment. Demonstrated research and teaching expertise in earth and environmental science. APPLICATION:
