As a member of a dynamic team, the Equity & Inclusion Analyst will assist the Director with the development and implementation of the affirmative action plan, analyze data related to hiring and retention, assist hiring units with talent acquisition, and the investigation into complaints of harassment and discrimination filed with the OEI.
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years' experience in equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, or human resources including experience implementing affirmative action plans. Experience with HRIS and online applicant systems. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7 + years' experience in a human resources or equal employment opportunity/affirmative action in a higher education environment. Experience with talent acquisition in a higher education environment. Experience working with affirmative action in a higher education environment. Experience interacting with hiring units in a higher education environment. Experience in fostering institutional diversity and inclusion initiatives. Experience investigating allegations of Title IX and/or Title VII violations. Experience with Banner Administrative System. Experience People Admin Talent Management System.
Essential Functions and percent of time::
30% – Gathering, researching, and analyzing data for use in statistical calculations and reporting in accordance with federal and state requirements and managing data collection and creation of University’s Affirmative Action Plan. 30% – Using personnel database to advise the University community regarding issues of equity and inclusion in the hiring process. 10% – Designing, coordinating, and conducting training and information sessions for the University community to promote cultural competency and a climate of inclusion. 10% – Investigating, mediating, and resolving complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in violation of University policy and drafting clear, concise, and thorough summary reports following investigations, as appropriate. 10% – Engaging with employees regarding requests for reasonable accommodations in the work environment. 5% – Managing OEI website in conjunction with University web design personnel. 5% – Performing other duties as assigned.
