Under the direction of the Stone Lab Assistant Manager and Education and Outreach Manager, assumes responsibility of all operations as it relates to the Aquatic Visitors Center (AVC); oversees and monitors daily operation of facility; assumes responsibility for care and welfare and record keeping of education animals including fish, amphibians, and reptiles; leads public tours and educates small groups on current Lake Erie issues; trains seasonal employees on AVC daily duties; provides oversight for volunteers; oversees associated housing facility located at AVC; performs simple maintenance of facility and grounds; maintains daily activity reports and produces a seasonal activity report; works occasionally on research vessels; builds a special event calendar early spring and late fall; performs cash handling duties including sales and inventory of merchandise; performs other duties as needed; position is a temporary appointment that will last from mid-April to late October, 2019 (flexible beginning and end dates); position located at Put-In-Bay, Ohio.

Two (2) years college course work or demonstrated ability in the conduct of routine field work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in biological science-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of Lake Erie fish and ecosystems desired; ability to lift 30 lbs.
Target Salary: $9.50 - $11.00 Hourly
