The Department of Psychiatry, collaborating with Regenerative Medicine, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Hyung Joon Kim, interfacing engineering and neurobiology to create methodologies for manipulating cellular and niche components in the nervous system.
1)Design each experiment by the thorough understanding of the current scientific literature in the diverse disciplines. Have an understanding of engineering skills and strong motivation to harness this knowledge for human brain diseases research.
2)Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, conceptualizing and prioritizing objectives and preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
3)Under minimal supervision, design, and conduct research experiments related to research projects. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated to contribute to existing programs as well as to develop their own research program.
