The Geography department occasionally needs temporary, part-time instructors to fill in for faculty on sabbaticals or leaves. Typical courses, taught in the past by temporary, part-time instructors were World Regional Geography, Physical Geography, Map Interpretation and Analysis, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental geography courses, and Human geography courses.
In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
MA in Geography.
Evidence of ability to teach successfully to diverse student populations.
Successful interview, teaching demonstration and three background checks.
PhD in Geography
A complete application includes all of the following: the faculty application form, cover letter, curriculum vitae, at least two letters of reference dated and signed within the prior 12 months and copies of transcripts showing all degrees conferred and in progress.
