Implements, administers, and supports a variety of highly complex technology systems and tools in support of the educational and research mission of the law school. These may include Learning Management Systems, distributed mobile systems and mobile device management systems, custom-built lecture capture automation systems, video publishing and delivery systems, polling and assessment tools, presentation technologies and methodologies, interactive classroom technologies, collaboration/communication tools, and any additional systems and tools that are needed in the future.
Lead technology officer for all online education courses and degree programs. Work with instructional designers and faculty to develop, administer and support our fully online courses. Responsible for ensuring that these courses are using the best technologies available and that students are assured to get the most engaging experience possible. Responsible for creating a technological environment for the students that reduces friction and increases engagement with the faculty and with each other. Aggressively stays attuned to the latest developments in online education, and continuously seeks out improvements and new technologies that will keep our program on the cutting edge delivering engaging and enriching experiences for our remote students. Works within the scope and guidelines of our design principles focused on student engagement, as well as any additional pedagogical guidelines provided by law school administration.
Lead technology trainer for staff and faculty. This position is the primary point person for the delivery of technology training, documentation and support throughout the law school. This involves designing and delivering workshops, presenting at faculty meetings, designing materials such as websites, screencasts, and knowledge base documents. This also involves maintaining multiple channels of direct one-to-one support, in-person, online and via phone.
Technology adviser and outreach coordinator for the implementation of new systems and processes supporting instruction and research. In collaboration with other IT units and under guidance of the CTO, works with various departments throughout the law school, analyzing technical and business processes, suggesting improvements and changes where appropriate, and overseeing implementation and training and support for these new tools, systems or processes.
Assesses current or emerging technology and advises on its appropriate use for teaching, research and/or AV production. Works with faculty to evaluate the pedagogical potential of emerging technologies, and serve as the primary resource to assist in integrating new technologies into legal teaching. Implement pilot programs when appropriate.
Leads technical staff who perform video production or post-production processes (digital editing, encoding, asset management, communication with client). Establishes the unit's standards for post-production quality.
Participates on campus committees in varied subject areas pertaining to technology for teaching and learning, pedagogy, classroom design, and video production, lecture capture, programming, distribution.
Advanced knowledge of technical requirements of events and the technical requirements to execute the projects.
Advanced knowledge of intellectual property (IP) restrictions and ensures that media meet IP requirements.
Advanced skills in leading all levels of event set up, operation, troubleshooting, and technical direction.
Advanced skills in instructional and educational technologies which support teaching and learning.
Advanced understanding of and experience with web technologies and online tools
Advanced skills and experience with a broad range of computer technologies and applications in support of content development, collaboration, and presentation.
Strong skills in media production and post-production
Proven ability to stay current on emerging developments in instructional, media and related technologies.
Strong assessment and planning skills to quickly identify business needs and determine appropriate systems to meet those needs.
Advanced skills to develop technical solutions to meet complex user requirements.
Advanced skills to determine staffing and scheduling priorities based on knowledge of Campus.
Excellent project management, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Salary & Benefits
This position is a non-exempt, hourly paid position. Pay is commensurate with experience in the range of $31.13 - $39.27.
