Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Head Coach for the Men’s & Women’s Water Polo Programs. Gannon’s athletic program includes 22 varsity sports, in which 18 sports compete at the NCAA Division II level. The men’s program competes in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) and the women’s program competes in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA). Responsibilities include oversight of coaching, managing and directing all aspects of the University’s competitive, NCAA Division II, intercollegiate men’s and women’s water polo programs. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and a valid driver’s license. Successful candidates must have at least three years of water polo coaching experience at the collegiate level and/or collegiate or professional playing experience; knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations; demonstrated ability to effectively recruit prospective national and international student-athletes, to a highly selective university; excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion and flexibility.
