Position Summary: Assistant Athletic Director for Recruiting and Alumni Relations - Yeshiva University Applications are invited for consideration for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Recruiting and Alumni Relations at Yeshiva University.
This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the recruitment of potential student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, Skyline Conference and Yeshiva University's policies and procedures to its 15-sport Division III athletics program
This includes but is not limited to: travel to several national and international high school level tournaments, skills evaluation, attending YU Open Houses, working closely with head coaches to manage and oversee their recruiting efforts, building relationships with athletic directors and coaches in different parts of the country, and working effectively with key constituents on campus including the admissions and alumni affairs offices
This position will also be responsible for home event management, overseeing the Young Alumni Board and Blue & White Club, and will take the lead on initiating all Hall of Fame activities
The Assistant AD for Recruiting and Alumni Relations will work closely with athletics staff to support and uphold the philosophy, goals and mission of both the university and the YU athletics program
Experience & Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum two years of collegiate coaching and/or recruiting experience preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Self-starter and able to work autonomously
A detailed awareness of the various types of students YU attracts and the ability to pitch to all of them
Ability to network both nationally and internationally
Travel 5-7 times per year to different tournaments to scout and pitch YU Passion for YU athletics and the ability to articulate that passion to others
Detail oriented and must be able to track a CRM style database for all potential incoming athletes A commitment to knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
Demonstrated ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and alumni Ability to work nights, weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule
