The University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Division of General Internal Medicine, seeks exceptional physician candidates with superior clinical and academic skills to be part of our growing hospitalist section. Physicians will oversee the care provided to a diverse patient population at our two major affiliated hospital systems.
Clinical responsibilities will include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of residents and medical students.
Assignment to traditional teaching services will be based on exceptional teaching skills.
Opportunities for leadership and research are available. Both hospital sites qualify for loan forgiveness programs.
Qualified candidates will be appointed at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor level.
MD degree required
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of NY
Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
The position is suited for individuals with varied interests and skills in clinical medicine as well as a commitment to medical education and research. Overall duties include serving as attending physician for inpatient and ambulatory services, consultation and follow-up of patients; teaching students, training residents and supervision of fellows.
