The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri, has an exciting opportunity for full-time, board-certified, or board-eligible child and adolescent psychiatrists to join our growing psychiatric team.
The Mo-CHILD Center of Excellence will lead the nation in child welfare, health, and mental health integration. The center will develop and implement innovative multi-system strategies to increase the safety and wellbeing of children and youth involved in child welfare and other related child and family serving systems. These goals of the center will be achieved through simultaneous, integrated, and evolving activities supported by multiple schools within the University of Missouri working collaboratively with each other and with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division, MO HealthNet Division, Missouri Department of Mental Health, and other partners as appropriate.
The clinician will review of information provided by psychologist or nurse care manager. Maintain up to date information regarding the use of psychotropic medications in children and youth as well as issues that impact children in state custody such as trauma Regular consultations with prescribers, non-prescribers and staff. Will attend administrative planning meetings and Department of Social Services meetings. Other duties as assigned. Reports to Department of Psychiatry, Director of Child Psychiatry program.
