The primary duties of this position are: to assist in the design,development and maintenance of numerical software libraries for solving linearalgebra problems on large distributed memory machines with multicore processorsand hardware accelerators at Exascale; write research papers documentingresearch findings; present material at conferences. These projects are leadingthe technology in the integration of numerical algorithms and state-of-the-arthardware, with an emphasis on distributed computing and performanceoptimization at multiple levels of hardware and software. There will be limitedopportunities for publication, for travel, and to interact with researchpartners and participate in the research community, and often for specialtraining in new and emerging technologies significant to the work.
