The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking applicants to fill a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery, In-Residence or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Successful candidates will have the foundation, preparation and vision to pursue a productive career in academic neurosurgery. This will entail clinical expertise, teaching research, university and public service. Basic Qualifications: The candidate must be an MD, MD/PhD or equivalent, ABNS and ABPNS certified/eligible, and have completed a Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowship.
The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery is based at two locations, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, located at both Oakland and San Francisco locations and currently has 5 faculty members. The division functions under an administrative structure that includes subspecialists in child neurology, neuropsychology, and pediatric physiatry. Candidates must possess the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment that fosters team science and multidisciplinary patient care. All candidates must have or be able to obtain a California medical license.
