The Wall lab at the Institute for Human Genetics, UCSF, is seeking to hire an associate specialist in evolutionary genetics with a start date in summer 2018. The length of the appointment is 12 months, with the possibility of renewal contingent on available funding and productivity of the specialist. The successful candidate should have a Ph. D. in evolutionary genetics (or a related field) and at least 3 years of post-Ph. D research experience. Familiarity with East Asian languages (especially Japanese, Chinese or Indonesian) is a plus since some of our ongoing research involves collaborators in Japan, Taiwan and Singapore.
