Essential Functions: MANAGEMENT:Teach Human Resource Management, leadership, organizational behavior, strategic management and business policy related courses.
Applicants will be expected to adhere to the tasks and responsibilities of providing instruction such as being prepared for class, meetings, following common exam requirements for certain courses, providing course syllabi to students, maintaining course rigor, assigning course readings (where necessary), providing and grading course assignments, utilizing course management strategies and using basic technology to enhance course instruction. Develop and improve course content and pedagogy, striving for excellence in teaching
Employ appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achieving course goals and objectives
Communicate progress in the course to students in a timely manner
Determine and submit students' grades in accordance with established School's policies and procedures
Be present throughout each scheduled class, and contact staff in advance to make appropriate arrangements for unavoidable absences
Teach lectures in various teaching modes (traditional, hybrid, and on-line), if applicable
Support innovation and improvement initiatives to the curriculum
Comply with all Mike Ilitch School of Business and Wayne State University's policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Applicant should possess a master's degree in a field related to the primary teaching responsibility area, and significant professional experience that is directly related to the primary area of teaching responsibility and should satisfy two of the following activities related to their primary area of teaching in the past five years:Maintenance of a professional certification;
Significant employment during the previous five years;
Significant and relevant consulting activity;
Significant Publication of scholarly works in academic or practitioner outlets
Presentations at practitioner/professional or academic conferences;
