Provide exceptional patient centered excellence to patients and families. Duties include: providing check in/check out services, answering telephones, provides general information to staff and patients, verifies and updates patient information, schedules patients for Livonia Radiology exams (which include Breast Imaging, Bone Density, CT, Ultrasound and General x-ray), confirms patient’s charges, collects payments and reconciles cash collections. During down time assist the technologists by stocking exam rooms, changing patients and assisting patients back to exam room.
* High school diploma.
* Knowledge of front end systems (MiChart/Epic, RIS- Radiology Information System, LifeImage).
* Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi task and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.
* Ability to manage stress effectively.
* Ability to work independently in an ever-changing and potentially stressful environment.
*Display leadership and team building skills.
*Demonstrate professionalism at all times.
*Must have an excellent attendance record.
Individual must exhibit a professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty and staff. Individual must also adhere to a high standard of personal and professional conduct; possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills; and demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse population.
*Experience within an ambulatory setting.
*Experience with an electronic medical record.
*Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
