Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at Iowa State University is accepting applications for an analyst/programmer – digital communications coordinator, who will be responsible for the web presence of the college and many of its departments and programs.
This position will maintain and update the content and design of LAS' web page, as well as, the web system that houses websites for several of the college's departments and programs, collaborating with college and department users; maintain university accessibility and branding standards on LAS college websites and the network components of the web system; consult with LAS departments and programs to create new or modify existing websites on the LAS web system; provide consistent communication and periodic training to web system users; and maintain the college video board system. Occasional publication layout, photography, and technical assistance will be provided to the college communications team.
The successful candidate will have the ability to use current software and platforms (content management systems, HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and the like), to keep up with the latest software, to balance multiple projects and deadlines, to communicate effectively, and the ability to collaborate with individuals who have a wide range of expertise and responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience; OR a combination of education and related experience totaling 5 years.
