The Olin Business School is seeking applications from those qualified for a senior lecturer faculty position. The major responsibilities will include involvement in our entire undergraduate and master’s degree programs: BSBA, MBA, and MSCA programs.
The major job responsibilities will include: teaching 3 semester-length marketing elective courses, including one that introduces different career opportunities that are available to marketing students through the “industry platform” course; conducting a few lecture sessions describing the various areas of marketing and customer analytics, deciding and inviting a slate of industry speakers working in marketing and customer analytics roles, and coordinating with Olin Marketing Association (OMA) and the Center for Customer Analytics and Big Data (CCABD) to host industry speakers in marketing and customer analytics roles; Offering career advice to students interested in marketing and customer analytics careers; Offering academic advice to students about marketing and customer analytics courses and optimal course schedule; Helping students prepare for marketing case competitions and marketing interviews; Coordinating with the placement office to obtain industry contacts for internships and fulltime positions; Creating a membership model for the Center for Customer Analytics and Big Data (CCABD) where member companies obtain a menu of consulting and learning benefits from Olin for being a part of the Center’s advisory board, and help to expand the number of participating board members; Working with the CCABD Director to attract industry practicum projects from local companies and supervise student teams who work on these projects under the guidance of faculty mentors.
Candidates for senior lecturer should have a Master’s degree and extensive marketing experience. A doctorate is desired but not required.
